I won't even pretend that it makes sense to be posting pictures of snow now that we're in April. I'm just going to do it and assume we're all okay with it.
So, here you go.
We got so much snow this winter. It was crazy. I think we almost broke records. We missed the most recent storm last week while we were basking in the sun in Arizona. And, while end of March snow may not be common in PA, it is in AK, which is why I'm thinking God gave me this winter as a personal gift--trying to prepare me for what's to come.
Audrey and I tried to take advantage of the winter wonderland that was our yard, but often it was too cold for me to muster up the strength to venture out for very long. So when one warm-ish afternoon came we spent a good long while out there. I snapped a bunch of pictures to try to capture her joy in this adventure (as opposed to last year's experience.)
First, she was all about picking up the biggest pieces of snow she could hold:

And then she was all about throwing it up in the air:

She sat down and dug too.
Then we walked over to the fence post and got a great awkward sitting shot before realizing she could climb up on top.
That last shot was my favorite, so I made a cute Instagram of it.
Then I got the awesome idea to bring over our antique sled and try to stage some overly posed shots. Audrey was all over it at first, remembering sledding in Utah and thinking she was in for a real treat. Then she realized how lame I was being and that she wasn't going to go anywhere.
Seriously, Mom...?
Enough of that. Time to just run around.
I tried to teach her how to make an angel, but she didn't like laying down. Making silly faces was the result instead.
A couple days later we went out again with Dada to make a snowman. Audrey helped pat the snow onto the body, but her favorite was doing the face.
And giving it big hugs, of course.
See you next year, snow.
Thanks for the memories :)
